First Devlog. Welcome!

Introduction

Welcome to the first devlog for Kurai Ame! I’m darklukka and together with chrysthian we are the full team 🙂 developing the game. Development is on early stage and here is the game's introduction.

Kurai Ame is a 2D retro roguelite inspired by Japanese mythology. You play as a ninja navigating a cursed land, battling corrupted souls and uncovering ancient secrets. You can play it here directly on the browser!

Key features so far

• Twin-stick ninja combat with precise controls, either with a Gamepad or Mouse and Keyboard;
• Explore a cursed forest and retrieve the Divine Branch to unlock your full potential;
• Retro pixel art based on the renowned Ninja Adventure asset pack.

Our focus now is to bring you procedural areas and levels, setting the path for the full fledged game.
